the fastest 4 months of my life!

Carter turned 4 months yesterday! the time sure has flown by! wow! He had his 4 month checkup yesterday and is doing wonderfully! He is healthy and thriving, and according to the dr "he has quite enough body mass to keep him from rolling over." (caleb was a bit concerend that he dosnt roll over yet since it said on the fact sheet they gave us that by 4 months some babies can do this.) Haha! really though, hes just a solid boy. not really chubby but definitly not little! Hes up to 16 lbs 8 oz., and is 25 1/4 inches long. And his head size is completely normal considering his dad was a human lollipop when he was a kid. Phew! Each month just keeps getting better. I absolutely LOVE being a mom, especially to such an amazing beautiful baby boy!

Oh!!! And hes finally graduated to his crib! no more car seat! We just made him one night and he cried 75% of the night, but hes been doing great ever since! a solid 7.5 hours the second night! Horay!

Love you-

Of course my kid would have sleep issues...

So you all know how weird of a sleeper i am (walker, talker, screamer, bug dreamer). Of course i would get a kid who sleeps wierd too. now, of course hes not as strange as me, yet...we shall see what he does when he starts walking and talking. he does laugh quite a bit in his sleep but thats pretty normal from what i hear. Hes very particular however in his sleeping arrangements. Like how he will not tolerate sleeping in his crib. the record in there is 45 minutes, but that was including happy play time, i have no idea how much he actually dozed. He really only sleeps in his carseat (pictured above. and of course he has to keep ahold of his beloved rings, that he constantly grasps now that his hands have been discovered), or in our bed. he actually quite prefers our bed, and usually gets his wish to be there every morning when he wakes up for breakfast at 5. anyways, obviously i would love for him to sleep in his own bed, but it works for now. so until he grows out of that wonderful carseat...there we go!

YeeeHaw!!

So i always feel a bit guilty that Carter dosn't get to do alot of fun activities, until I remember he's only 3 1/2 months and really can't do much of anything. This is why its so fun to find new things that keep him interested and occupied. Even if its just for 5 minutes....then he's happy and maybe i can even get somthing done (you would think being a stay at home mom and doing just that, staying at home, ALL THE TIME, i would have a very clean house and yada yada, but this is just not even close to the truth.). Anyways, up to this point, the only thing that has captured his fancy has been eating (still his #1 favorite activity), being walked and bounced around ALL the time, and his activity mat with the dangling beach ball. So we were thrilled to find out in the nursery a few sundays ago that he LOVES the bouncers! We werent sure if he would be big enough for them, but since he has had such good neck control since birth we put him in there, and it was love. He sat in there for a good 20 minutes happy as a clown. So we decided to buy one, and much to my dismay, most of them are kind of an eyesoar. So i was very pleased to find a cute little cowboy bouncer on clearence at babies r us. Its a horse, with red bandana material. Practically made for me and my house (those of you who really know me and my red obsession will understand why i could never buy, say, a blue aquarium themed bouncer and display it in my all too matchy matchy living room.). Anyways, he loves it, even sat in it for an hour yesterday, long enough for me to get the dishes done and clutter cleaned. it was wonderful. So lets hope this dosnt get old fast, or else my house will continue to get really, really dusty.

Love you all!
